The internet made it trivial to reach anyone on earth — and somehow harder than ever to actually meet them.

CrossUP is open to people 15 and older, which means adult–minor contact is possible. We treat that as the highest-priority risk in the entire product, and none of these controls ship as optional.

Real age assurance

A date of birth, not an "I am over 18" checkbox. Under-15s cannot register, and 15–17 accounts are clearly distinguished from adult accounts.

High privacy by default for minors

Profile, location and content visibility start locked down for 15–17 accounts, and the active privacy level is always visible on screen.

Gated adult–minor messaging

Friend requests and direct messages between adults and minors are restricted by default, and AI grooming-pattern detection runs on the moderation layer in real time.

48-hour NCII removal

A hashing and takedown flow for non-consensual intimate imagery with an auditable log, and a report control visible on every piece of content.
